Statute law revision 2 ═══════════════ ENDNOTES 3 -- 1 of 4 -- 1 Trustee (Amendment) Act 2001 † [Assented to 16 October 2001] The Parliament of Victoria enacts as follows: 1. Purpose The main purpose of this Act is to repeal Part 1C and Part 1D of the Trustee Act 1958. 2. Commencement (1) Section 1 and this section come into operation on the day after the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent. (2) Subject to sub-section (3), the remaining provisions of this Act come into operation on a day or days to be proclaimed. Victoria No. 60 of 2001 -- 2 of 4 -- Act No. 60/2001 Trustee (Amendment) Act 2001 2 (3) If a provision referred to in sub-section (2) does not come into operation before 1 July 2002, it comes into operation on that day. 3. Repeal of Part 1C and Part 1D Part 1C and Part 1D of the Trustee Act 1958 are repealed. 4. Consequential amendments In section 3(1) of the Trustee Act 1958, the definitions of "mortgage-backed security" and "mortgage investment certificate" are repealed. 5. Statute law revision (1) In section 3(1) of the Trustee Act 1958, the definitions of "building society" and "securities payable to bearer" are repealed.
